About Us

Pilot Rodney Williams has been flying balloons for over 17 years with a perfect safety record.   He moved to Branson in 2004 and began a tethered helium balloon ride attraction, which was operated until December 2006.   Now he is devoting full time to his favorite passion, sharing the hot air ballooning experience with others. 

Because the balloon is an aircraft, all pilots must be certified by the FAA and have a commercial pilots license to take passengers for hire.  Rodney is also an instructor and helps students prepare for their FAA pilot written examinations, as well as instructing in how to fly hot air balloons.

 As pilot-in-command, Rodney will ensure that all aspects of the balloon flight will be conducted in accordance with FAA regulations and safety considerations.  He is the only pilot currently flying in the Branson area.  His knowledge of the flying area and local weather gives him the experience necessary to make decisions that make each flight a safe and enjoyable experience for the passengers. 

 In addition to flying in Missouri, Rodney has over 15 years of hot air ballooning combined flying in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Mississippi and is a regular participant in the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta each year.
